I can check with mine.

Just checked. No milage warranty or claims when purchased with the vehicle. Only if failure occurs before a certain thread depth.
Thanks,I'll give warranty a try anyway. See what they say. I do realize they sell them to the OEM's a whole bunch cheaper than what we have to pay retail.

Hi all,

Oem tires do not come with any mileage warranty. Additionally, many tire manufacturers have changed from “mileage warranty” to “mileage expectancy”

The oem tires have only a manufacturer’s defect warranty. This will only cover defects in the tire. It will not cover irregular wear, road hazard (cuts, punctures etc,) This is usually down to 2/32 tread wear or 5 year on the casing date.

As stated previously, the manufacturer MIGHT allow a customer satisfaction concession. This is usually 25-50% of the retail price of a new tire. This sometimes will also apply if you damage a tire within the first 2500 miles.

Even if you buy the vehicle brand new, I would recommend having an alignment done. The factory does a basic alignment adjustment before it leaves the plant. However, the alignment may slightly change during the shipping process and could result in premature tire wear.

Usually, the dealer does not perform an alignment on a new vehicle.

Be sure to check your air pressure and regular rotations.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, just to clarify, the manufacturer warranty only covers defects in workmanship and materials. If a tire fails due to a defect, the warranty would be prorated off of the tread remaining.

This usually does not cover mechanical wear, road hazard, theft, fire, vandalism

I have seen some dealers offer a “road hazard” warranty for a fee that would cover damages to the tire that were not defects.

When I bought my Bronco new, I went right to Discount Tire and bought their protection plan. Covers most everything beyond just the basic manufacturer warranty.

The majority of wear conditions are caused by mechanical (alignment, suspension issues) and are not covered.

Side note, When asking the dealer about tire related questions, I would recommend talking to service and not any of the sales staff as they are usually not trained on addressing such issues.
