Ok, so I have had my Bronco Sport for almost a month now, I just put on 1,000 miles yesterday. Today as I was driving, my powertrain light came on, so I called the dealership, and they looked on the computer why it was coming on, but it wasn’t showing them that there was anything wrong. The FordPass app also said nothing was wrong. I also tried turning the car off, then turning it back on, but the light stayed on

Well, I drove it some more and then my wrench light also came on and I started losing power. I had to pull over and have it towed to the dealership. My app still says everything is fine, but I don’t know why I’m having this issue and what it could be. If anyone knows I’d really appreciate it!

Hi Brian. Can you send us DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

The vehicle's systems are far too complicated and interconnected to diagnose based on a few data points. The cause of the problem with your car can be any one of literally hundreds of different issues. The only way this gets fixed is with a proper diagnosis for a Ford-trained technician.

Hopefully they will treat you better than I have been treated. I had the same errors, though they came through on Ford Pass, but my car would not move in reverse or drive, and I had the extra bonus if a cryptic message that stated “selected gear will engage at low speed”. After having it a week, the dealer that agreed to receive the tow, ended up towing it to another dealer using my roadside assistance because they don’t have a transmission specialist. the dealer that it was towed to said they would not be able to look at my car for one or two weeks.
I’m the meantime I am without a car, the first place that took the tow delivery that is six miles from my house said they can’t provide a loaner or covet a rental until the problem os diagnosed, but now that the carb went to another dealership under the same name that is located 60 miles from my house, the first dealer can’t provide a loaner either way, the matter is now between me and the new dealer. The new dealer had no loaners available and there is currently a waiting list,
Seems a total lack of customer service and it’s all made more frustrating by an upcoming car payment, the fact that if I rent a car and do get reimbursed, only 40 dollars per day is covered for non-Ford rental and 45 if a Ford. For one day. The cheapest rental us 90 dollars, a Ford Edge rental is $175, not to mention there is only one z enterprise in the area , and because they ate so busy they do not always have cars, they do not pick up and deliver, so I also have to pay Uber 15.00 each way.
I love my BS Badlands, I detest the lack of costumer service, feel I’ve been jacked around, and the very limited way I am covered if the warranty does apply, not to mention they can’t even tell me if covered under warranty. It’s beyond anything I could ever have imagined.
It does not take s genious to view forums here and offline of here to recognize something is very wrong in the design of the transmission. Maybe it’s related to the winding noise that was brushed off by the dealer as my being overly sensitive. The only good thing for me is that the failure of the vehicle to move forward or backwards happened when I went to use the vehicle, rather thsn
It happening in an intersection, which would endanger mine and others lives

No one here can correctly diagnose the issue on the internet. Best to take it to a Ford dealer to get it checked out, especially if it's under warranty. This way it is documented, and your best option for a repair.

I know how you feel I don't have warranty anymore and my bronco started giving problems right after the warranty ended I started to smell burnt oil coming in thru the A/C it gave me head aches so I thought maybe wheb they did the oil change they left the cap loose so when I took it yo the ford dealer they did tell me that was the reason it smelled like burnt oil so they "fixed it" but I kept smelling the oil so I had to take it again and they couldn't find the problem they had my car for over a week and they said it was the converter catalytic that broke and I had to pay for labor and Ford covered the part I guess it had warranty but I was struggling without a car because they couldn't find the problem and wouldn't give me a loaner because my warranty had ended I really regret getting this car when I bought it I thought I was finally going to have a good car but its been worst than the used cars that I've had and I still owe so much money on this car.

Tough read without using decimal points. This gets a prize for the longest run on sentence for sure.

Your vehicle will need a diagnostic performed. Dealer or independent shop. If your warranty is expired, you will need to pay out of pocket. That's just how it works.

Is it oil or gas because if it’s gas, it could be cracked fuel injectors that has had a recall for the 1.5 3 cylinder if you have that engine. Of course I’m just assuming, but I’d take it in and have them look at it regardless.
