Popping sound when taking foot off brake peddle

This annoying popping sound just started a week ago. Whenever I let off the brake I hear one or two popping sounds. I am unable to ascertain where it originates. Radio on or off the sound occures. Before I take the BS to the dealer I am asking the fourm members if they have this issue. Many thanks.

If you are pointed uphill, the hill control will sometimes "pop" as it lets off the brake, when you hit the gas.
