Plex Server Access through CarPlay

I just noticed that the Plexamp IPhone app works on Carplay. If you have a Plex Media Server at home, you would have access to all your music and movies via the app. I built a TrueNAS (new name for FreeNAS) server a few years ago on an old desktop that I no longer needed. TrueNAS is a professional server yet there is no cost for the software. I plan to install a Plex Server on it and give this a try.

Be careful with Plex and the exposure you give your media on the internet. The assumption will always be you should know how to secure your network and your data. Plex had a nasty breach a couple years back. I'm only a messenger.

Always recommend a dedicated vlan, manually forwarded port (no PnP) and 2FA. Any use of the Internet comes with some inherent risk.

I've used plex via Android Auto. Not plexamp though, the full Plex app. Only music/audiobooks work obviously.
