Chose to do the pickup/drop off service because I’m unable to miss work for an appointment. Scheduled to do the battery recall and to double check shifting of the transmission just for my peace of mind as I have a road trip coming up and couldn’t tell how much of the harsh shifting was in my head or real.
Scheduled for 9 am, picked up at 10. Not a big deal at all. Im the type of customer that could receive a completely wrong order at a restaurant and more than likely not say anything so was not worried about it.
4 pm rolls around and I’m off work sitting In The parking lot with no updates so I call. Met with 5 minutes of ringing and, “our service advisors are helping other customers please leave voicemail.” Repeat 4x.
I than text a number that let me know my car was picked up that morning asking for an eta on arrival. Again none of this is a big deal as I know the whole cdk debacle is going on and humans are humans I don’t expect perfection by any means.
call wife to pick me up.
Get a text saying they can drop off at new address and will keep me updated.
5pm car dropped off at my house. Friendly driver. He Took pictures everything than gave me paperwork. He didn’t really give many updates other than he didn’t feel anything wrong with shifting. Offered him a chair to wait as the guy picking him up was running very late. Than I notice my passenger rear fender flare is completely gone.
I mention it to him and that my last pick up drop off in February they came back loose so maybe they uninstall and reinstall and just forgot on this one? he takes a photo and writes it on the paper and takes photo of that. And I ask do I just look for an email on updates ? And he says something along the lines of, yeah you can. Again, he was just a friendly guy and I assume all he knows is to get in car and deliver it so I don’t expect many answers from him.
than the paper work says nothing about the recall? I’m assuming they did it just find it weird it’s not mentioned. Plus the mileage says 425k which I’m just above 13k?
Long story and in the grand scheme not a huge deal I just feel so confused on wtf is happening. Lol. I’ll keep you guys updated but just my two cents, I officially do not recommend pick up drop off.

Wow. Bits of bodywork blew off in a strong wind? That’s scary.
Forreal though. I’ve had them on for almost all 13k miles and never had an issue. But now I’m like yeah that’s ridiculous lol

Update: mobile technician brought the flare back from dealership without hardware. Called rough country and they updated the hardware to install fender flares, and are sending for free. The hardware now includes screws that go into plastic liner and 2 different style metal clips. So no more popping off. They originally only came with metal clips.
all in all no harm no foul. Stoked it all worked out
