Passenger side speaker makes ticking/clip noise around 20 volume

I have a 2021 Bronco Sport

Recently I've noticed my passenger front speaker makes a tick or click noise with some songs if they have louder bass guitar or during some drum fills. This seems to happen when volume is between 20-24 which I know is loud but sometimes its more relevant to specific songs.

This never used to happen as my listening tastes in music havent changed.

Question is.... is this even worth bringing up to a dealer or are they just gonna tell me its not a real problem and to turn down. I just dont know how warranty plays into this but I def feel like the passenger front speaker is failing in some way.

Anyone had to deal with this kind of an issue and a dealer?

It could also be something internal to the speaker area (connector, wire, etc) vibrating against something. Cheers!

The stock speakers are garbage, even if you got the B&O upgrade. I will second that it could be the wiring/wire clips vibrating. For whatever reason, Ford chose to hold the wires to the plastic door panel with these plastic clips that have a metal insert. The result is that once they are attached they are hard to remove and yet they are still loose. There are a couple of us that have covered all of that stuff with DynaMatt (or equivalent). Also if you are going to dig that deep, it is worth replacing the stock speakers with aftermarket (about $250 for all 4 doors in speakers).

THIS!!! All Ford Speakers are poo. You can have the speaker replaced at dealer, but i just replaced mine. Infinity Kappa 6.5

I'm sure your dealer would replace the speakers with aftermarket speakers that you brought to them, if you asked. I don't think that is the best place to go for this kind of thing though. Probably much less expensive to go to a local car electronics shop and just have them do the whole thing. Getting the door panels off is relatively easy but would require buying a couple tools. If you chose the "PowerBass" speakers, like I did, they are a direct replacement for the stock speakers. Meaning you disconnect the wire connector from the stock speaker, remove the screws, pull out the speaker, and then reverse that to put in the new speakers. No cutting or drilling or wiring hacks involved.

Installing the dynamatt just requires a little patience and some pushing with fingers to get has much of it adhered to the plastic as possible. No real skill involved and it cuts easily with a razor knife.

All in, about an afternoon's worth of work for someone doing it the first time. Here is a link to a post that I made when I replaced mine. Not an all inclusive "how-to" but it will give you and idea of what is involved. I think the hardest part was getting the door opening cables disconnected from the handle in the panel. I can't remember any longer what exactly needed to be done for that, but I think that there is a post or two on here that has that information. If you search for "speakers" you will probably find quite a bit of info.

I have noticed the same noise, I'm thinking I will eventually change the speakers..
