I may regret this, but right now, I am neutral ( as opposed to negative ) about my 2022 BS/OB around 16K miles. I bugged the dealer for 2 1/2 years to replace my EFB because, basically, it was a POS. He always declined, said the fact it would not hold a charge for more than 20 minutes was because I did not drive it enough. I wasn't happy about that. I have not changed my driving habits in a decade, and my former vehicles would hold a charge no problem.
I took the car in for recall 24S24. The W/O shows they " checked battery performance " and presto, I got a new AGM battery.
After 24S24, my fuel mileage improved quite a bit. Maybe because that coincided with cooler weather so no A/C. Don't know.
I had to add coolant, so asked for check for leaks. Surprise !!! Water pump was leaking. So they ordered parts, and that was replaced.
Now I know about RDU vent hose issue, so they have ordered parts to install new style. That I will have to pay for, but I am not waiting until the RDU dies before having that done, which Ford TSB 23-2335 implies.
This is a lot of issues with a car with only 16K miles on it, and driven carefully by a geezer. I am on a first name basis with everyone at service dept, which is good, but I should not be so frequent a visitor to create that.
My bumper-to-bumper warranty will age out soon, which is not a good situation. I bought a 3rd party extended warranty to give me some more bumper-to -bumper type coverage for 5 yr, 60K to match power train. I hope I don't need to use it.
My next scheduled service will be next Feb, when transmission fluid and brake fluid will need to be replaced. Transmission fluid is a no-brainer, but should I replace brake fluid at 3 yrs but only around 20K miles? Moderate climate. Not too hot or too cold.
Dealer wait time for appointment is 30 days, so I am basically making an appointment every 30 days, and cancelling if nothing new fails. ?
I like the car, but not the reliability, or lack thereof. Ford's commitment to quality , if it ever had one, is long gone.
Foghorn.

I am also on the same dilemma as you. Car is great, I love it but man too many reliability issues. in my case, the local dealer has honored the warranty and been really helpful on solving the issues under warranty. now I am waiting for the RDU actuator that is under TSB SSM51117 since it failed after replacing the RDU fluid due to the shudder. My 2022 Big Bend only has 11k miles. I wonder if the Japs also face such issues but they just keep it to themselves or if they make more reliable vehicles in the end.

The "Japs" are replacing every engine the 22/23 Tundras and Sequoia due to catastrophic failures. Possibly the 24's.

Good to know. At least in the US they do the recalls but in other countries it's more of a cross your fingers and pray or maybe they use more simple reliable engines. I think that the whole emissions thing in the US has reduced the reliability of certain engines due to so many recirculating and extra sensors.

My wife and I got so tired of the infotainment system having problems they weren't able to fix the rear brake squeak they couldn't get stopped along with drive trail noises they couldn't hear. The BS BL was her car and she was afraid it was going to break down on her she told me she wanted to trade so I agreed. I've been buying only new Fords for 30 plus years but with Fords ever worsening quality and ever increasing MSRPs we looked else were and bought a 2024 Honda Passport Trailsport and it a great car. It has 6k on it now but it's still tight and noise free the BS BL at 6k had already develop interior rattles and had the damn rear brake squeal. The Honda has vastly superior build quality.

Do the brake fluid as it isn't dependent on mileage. Fluid takes on moisture that you don't want in a brake system.

Scotty Kilmer once mentioned brake fluid is important to replace every 3 years if you plan to keep the car more than 5 years. If you plan on selling it, let the next guy deal with the consequences.

I'd say replace it but it doesn't need to be exactly at 3 years. I try to do it sometime towards the middle or first 2/3 of the calendar year. It makes it easier to remember when it was last done.
