Hi All, this is my first post. I have a 2024 BS BB, Eruption Green. I live in SoCal, San Fernando Valley, and frequently commute to Lake Havau, AZ. I have noticed that when the ambient temperature is above 100f my BS seems to temporarily bog down when moving from a standing start, such as from a traffic light, or Stop Sign. Last week it was 113f. It seems like the transmission is hunting for the right gear or that the fuel injection isn't providing the correct amount of fuel. Once moving, it seems to improve. I just had my dealer do the first service (I have less than 5K miles), and I mentioned to the Service Writer of this issue. He didnt seem too concerned. Any thoughts from the forum?

Thank you, I will try that. When on the freeway or highways I have been using ECO mode. Next trip to AZ i will try the Sport Mode when in town.

The ECO limits throttle response to help conserve fuel. When putting a load on the engine, and those high temps might be considered a load, normal or sport. I would try normal first.

Great color!!

I experience the same situation in my 2024 BB in ECO mode. I stay in either Normal or Sport mode.

ECO mode reduces throttle response... it makes it less sensitive when you give it gas. So that is likely a big part of the problem. Hot air is also less dense, and has less oxygen in it so it's not taking as much air in reducing power a bit more. Kind of similar to being at a very high elevation. If it wasn't a turbocharged engine, you'd likely notice it a lot more.

ECO mode isn't nearly as useful on a freeway as it is in city traffic since whether in normal or ECO you're going to be in 8th gear at the same 2k RPM while you're maintaining a steady 55 or 75.
