Lately my app will show a notification that an oil change is needed, oil life will show 0% in the app, but I reset it when I changed it 1600 miles ago. Then randomly the app with show the correct 71% oil life that the truck shows, then randomly again show 0% with a notification again.

This started within the last month. Never had it happen with my 2 previous oil changes. I have an appointment to drop off my BS at the dealer for a different issue, figured I would bring it up then.

When I did the first oil change on my 23 F150, it took 3hrs to update in the app after I reset it, when that updated, my BS showed 71% again. Shrugs*

Because of a 6 hr wait for an Express Oil change at the Dealer I opted to go to Valvolene for my 1st oil change. When I checked the phone app that nite it was already updated.

Trust, but verify. I always pop the hood, check the oil, and crawl under to check for leaks after the shop changes my oil.
Solid advice Mark. I worked at a garage part time on weekends. As my buddy was pulling out a car from the bay that he had just changed the oil on a saw a trail of liquid following the car. Back in the bay it went and sure enough the filter gasket from the old one was still there making contact with the new filter gasket. Not the greatest of seals.
