I have a 2022 OBX, built late December 2021. 1.5 EB
My paper owners manual says oil capacity is 5.3 qts. I did not get the " addendum " some have talked about with the vehicle.
The online 2022 owners manual shows 6.6 qts., makes no reference to build date.
The online Motorcraft Oil -Quick Reference oil application and crankcase capacity chart dated 1/2024 shows the oil capacity for 2022 1.5EB with a Note 10.
Note 10 says BS up to build date of Aug 03/2022 ( mine ) uses 5.3 qts and after Aug 03/ 2022 uses 6.6 qts.
Ques....Is the Motorcraft chart accurate. ?
If it is, the online 2022 owners manual is inaccurate / incomplete/ misleading.
They can't both be right
If the Motorcraft chart is accurate, what changed on Aug 03/2022? Is this the reported change from a metal oil pan to one made from something other than metal? Did the capacity change?
Thanks
Fog
