Thanks, that is a lot of information I did not have.
I think there is a way to get the window sticker using your VIN# (at least a digital version)

You could call Ford Customer Service

Using the VIN # FORD.com shows it to have the full size spare. I managed to get a copy of the original window sticker, but I don't see any mention of the spare tire size.
I just thought, wouldn't the styrofoam insert around the spare tire have a smaller opening for the spare if it wasn't originally shipped with a full size tire?

Don’t think so. The diameter should be the same with either spare tire for obvious reasons.

I placed an order for the cargo mat with fordpartsgiant.com. They alos had the floor mats I wanted, so I added them to the order. It took about a week to get a response. They acknowledged the order and said it would ship. Two days later I got an email that informed me the floor mats were out of stock and no known date for them to return to an in stock status.
No problem, I will get them through FOMOCO. The next email I received let me know they were processing my order for the cargo mat. Today, two additional days later I received an email that informed me FEDEX was going to charge $239.00 shipping for a $108.00 cargo mat.

Needless to say, I cancelled the order completely. Hope my experience is a one off, but I wonder.

To avoid excessive shipping charges:

1. There are many internet discount Ford parts sites across the US and if you are lucky enough to live close to one and if they are willing to allow you to pick up at their location you may find no shipping fee or minimal fee. I have a bunch of them but they are easy to find. Here are just a few:
Ford Parts America Auto Parts
Lasco Auto Parts
Levittown Ford Dealership Parts Department
OEM Part Source

See this link for more:

2. The official Ford parts website often charges more for an item than a discount internet site but shipping might be included at no additional cost (and or sometimes may be shipped to a local Ford dealership for free and you pick up there).
Sometimes the net total cost will be less even though the product price might be higher.
And sometimes Ford has $75 savings (or whatever):

http://accessories.ford.com/

It takes some effort to find the best place to buy when shipping cost is factored in especially for odd sized products or products that are heavy. The cargo mat falls into that odd size and heavy class as you found out.

often is well worth your time to search because product price and shipping vary significantly.

Btw the cargo mat can also be found on Ebay and maybe on OfferUp.

And if you are in Canada I don’t know about that location.
