We have had our new Bronco Sport for less than a month and it has under 300 miles. I've already had to tow it to the dealer due to a major oil leak. Also had a Powertrain malfunction warning and now I'm hearing a rattling noise that is similar to what others are describing. Very quickly what was one of my biggest excitements of the year has become my biggest regret. It has already been in the shop EIGHT DAYS during our first month of driving it. I really can't afford to be without it anymore and the dealer isn't offering any loaners. Sorry just need to vent. Very frustrated owner here.

Keep records (e.g. how long it's at the dealership being repaired) and if necessary invoke your state's lemon law.

Yeah that's not right. Very sorry to hear your problems but that's not the norm. Granted some are so particular if the brakes squeak after a monsoon they expect a full diagnostic overhaul...or lord forbid an engine hat is missing...sheesh.
I'd involve Ford and get that figured out. Had mine over a year and pushing 12K miles...two oil changes and tire rotations nary a problem...(knock on wood) and that's how it should be. A lot of new parts and pieces but it's still a Ford SUV to it's core.

Well, that stinks. Sorry to hear it. No issues with mine but only 2k miles in 3 months for me.

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with these concerns on your Bronco. Thanks!

This is just an idea. Since this is a standard message to get the ball rolling on you helping them out, how about including how to send a private message? It may not happen in this thread, but there have been several threads we provided the instructions.

Tap on the account icon (Tigger's bronco sport logo) it should expand a window and at the bottom right corner is "start conversation" which will initiate a direct private message fwiw.

No, we know that, and keep saying it. Ford should just include it in their message, is what I was suggesting.

I got the power train warning on Friday and had to get it towed as well. Only had it for 2 months. Still no update from the dealer and its our only car. This is my first ever car with a car payment and I already regret it.

yep, your experience is much closer to mine. 10,300 mi (two oil changes and tire rotations) and not a single issue. It’s been a great truck and still looks Like I just rolled it off the lot over a year later. I’ve thought about getting a Maverick but really don’t want to part with my BS BB.

Ford is helping me with my bronco sport badlands issues, give them a call on 800 number and I wrote letters and a couple emails. They are on the dealership to find what is happening over there and why it's been there 3 weeks, and they are getting me a rental tomorrow, it's been a nightmare but you don't deserve for your dealer to take advantage of you, I swear as soon as ford corporate contacted them suddenly the part was mysteriously available???? Fishy business

I think this is everyone’s nightmare.

I would be extremely disappointed if my Bronco Sport developed a series of problems and let me down so soon after getting it, especially after waiting months.

The waiting around and lack of communication can be frustrating to say the least.

I understand your regret, but sometimes something like this happens and it can be fixed. Give them a chance but be prepared to take further action.

Not providing you with a loaner is unacceptable.

I feel your pain. Ours was back to the shop 3 times around the 900 mile mark. Twice for “emission control equipment” and once for a transmission input shaft sensor. My wife was ready to be done with her new BS and trade it for something else. I wasn’t real happy about it either. Ours spent about 10 days total over the 3 visits to the dealer.

Luckily, everything has worked out and the wife’s “BabyB” has been trouble free since. It’s is up to about 4200 miles now. She is once again happy that she picked a BSBL for a new vehicle. Our particular dealer seemed genuinely concerned about our issues and worked quickly to find a solution. As good as they were, we didn’t get a loaner/rental either.

Hopefully your dealer comes up with a solution soon and that new Bronco happiness returns! Keep us posted
