So I’ve been searching this website for information for the past few days and I’m still confused. I was able to swoop in and get a Outer Banks from someone who ordered one Feb 8th but had to back out. I put a $500 deposit down on 7/23 and was told that it was scheduled to be built the week of 8/23. My dealer had told me about the chip issue causing delays so was a little nervous about it being delayed but when I checked on the Ford website Saturday I saw it was in production. I have a dinky little Jetta and live in the Northwoods WI so I’m really hoping to have my Bronco by the time the snow flies. I’ve never ordered a car so I have no idea how this works meaning does production mean building or something else? After it is built then what happens? If you go back to the Ford website and scroll down it should tell you when it's done being built. Once it is done being built if you scroll down even further it should have an estimated delivery date on it. Mine was built on 8/27 and estimated delivery date of 9/29

In production means it's being built or waiting on a chip. It should move to built in a matter of a day or 2 if things went well. If it's waiting on a chip or something else it will stay stuck in production. Once built it takes days to a week or 2 to ship. After that it really depends on the rail company and truck to get it to your dealership. The estimated date means hopefully it will show up then at some point.
