Psssst. Over here... [whisper]Don't buy a black car.[/whisper]So, I left the dealership and my salesman reassured me to hold firm and they will give in. I put a hundred bucks on it to hold for me until tomorrow.
So what was your final outcome on your badlands .Thank you so much.
I’m going next week to pick it up. Probably Monday or Tuesday. We were going to try to do it today because I was off of work but they couldn’t get me in to get my tires switched at the service department. I told them I’m not finalizing anything until my new tires are put on the BL. I have to work through Friday then I’m off for 5 days. I’m hoping we can get it done early next week. The service department at my dealer is appointment only and of course…limited staff. So what was your final outcome on your badlands .
I just got rid of a black vehicle and I didn’t have any issues with it. Yes, it can be difficult to keep it clean. But…I love detailing as a hobby and our 14 year old is all about it and good at it. Throw some greenbacks at him and it gets done. Now, the winter can be brutal without a doubt. But, I keep it sprayed off and don’t do the drive through car wash. I have a heated garage and wash bay. I’ll get it home and wash it, clay it and give it a good prep with 70 percent alcohol and apply ceramic coating. My son and I will do this together and I’ll apply two coats with an hour plus wait time in between. The black BL is the only one available in my area. My dealership had one black one special order and the one I put a deposit on. I haven’t even seen one on the road around here in southeast Michigan. I see BB and Outerbanks but not the BL.Psssst. No disrespect intended; I'm just being a clown. I traded my Shadow Black Mustang for a BS. Nothing shines like a clean black Mustang, but keeping it clean takes commitment. If you just assume you're going to start cleaning at one end, go all the way to the other, then start over you'll be fine. It's sorta like the painting the Golden Gate Bridge--you just never stop painting.I just got rid of a black vehicle and I didn’t have any issues with it. Yes, it can be difficult to keep it clean.
