My first in-person conversation with a BS owner

So today I was at my vet's office and there was an area 51 OB. I WAS EXCITED... that's what I ordered! Just so happens the owner was getting ready to leave, so I politely introduced myself as a future OB area 51 owner. I asked the (elderly) woman if she liked her Bronco Sport.

She nonchalantly told me that she just got it last week and it's actually her husband's car. But, he hasn't drove it since he DIED the day before she picked it up.

Ahh awkward...?. I was so unprepared for THAT response...I stood there a moment before giving her my condolences. She just got in and drive away.

Oh wow yeah I’m not sure that’s a response you’d ever imagine coming! Sounds like you had the right answer to her, offering condolences. Not much else you can do.

No, I told the staff inside and they confirmed her husband did pass away.
