Ain't that the truth. And in all honesty it's not a skill I'm well practiced in. We had a manual trans brush truck for field fires. Hated that thing.
I learned to drive with a '55 Chevy using a 3 on the tree. My Escape still uses a 5 speed in the center console. 50 some years later, 1'm still rowing by hand. Honestly, I don't ever think about until I switch vehicles.

Yeah the old days,
Grab a gear,
Spray some gas,
And you get pressed back into your seat.
I doubt there’s a BS owner out there that remembers. Unless he’s an old fart.

Walk-in down memory lane.
Forgive any mistakes please.
Sitting on my Grandaddy’s Lap
He worked the clutch and the gas pedal while I steered and shifted the, ‘Three on the Tree In his 63 Rambler.
At 11 years old, I was loose in the bay heads with the snakes and Gators at that age with a .22 killing squirrels.
I was driving his drunk ass home from the bar at 13. He was passed out in the back seat.
Then came the Chevelle with Four On The Floor. Oh my, I died and went to Heaven.
Ah memories.

It was Grandpa's Ford Ranchero for me, same three-on-a-tree. Then came the '67 GTO with a Muncie 4-spd. Funny thing is, the 2.0L EcoBoost does 0-60 and the quarter mile faster. But the goat had style!

It’ll be fine. In the future, if you want a new vehicle, you may be ordering and waiting instead of picking what is on a lot.

(you only need to listen to the first line but …)
That's what I was told this afternoon. Dealer said you can refuse the ordered vehicle NO PROBLEM as they would sell to the new person who walks in.

The goat is eternally iconic...that's when sculpting beauty out of iron was an industry standard.
