I have a friend that has a 2025 Maverick. He had a 2024. Both were nice but, I much prefer the Bronco Sport. The dash in the 2025 Maverick looks like it was designed by a group of people that were drinking heavily and only 15 minutes to get it done. Both worked well and would be just fine in everyday use. Really, however, not much of a pickup.

I have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB and had a BS BB before it and don't care for the dash on the Maverick and FWIW My brothers 2023 F-150 XLT Crew Cab 4x4 the Payload is only like 1,589 lbs and My Maverick is 1,491 lbs. with a foot shorter bed than My brothers F-150.So I wouldn't say the Maverick isn't much of a pickup I hauled 30 1.5 cubic feet bags of mulch in the Maverick last Year. I had a bunch of F-150's before the BS BB and now the Maverick. And let Me tell You loading and unloading mulch and other things in the Maverick is much easier than an F-150.

What you are doing is what a Maverick was designed for. I live in rural Minnesota and for us a pickup is used for everything from farming and construction to going to church on the weekends. It also needs ground clearance and 10 to 12,000 pound towing capacity. Our trucks live a much more difficult existence.

I think that the Maverick Hybrid is great little pickup that is capable and at a price that can't be beat. I know people that love them and own multiple for their business. The selling point for them was the price. A family member of mine ordered 3 for his ranch operation after less than a year of owning his personal one. A small compact and capable pickup for about $30k or less new is hard to ignore. That and it gets 35-40 or more mpg, is was what caught my eye. I read somewhere that the hybrid was tested driving 50 mph over a distance of 50 miles and it averaged over 50 mpg, that is pretty impressive. Maybe I should try that in my BSBL and see what numbers I get. Now it's not made for doing big truck stuff obviously, but it'll do all you need it to do and more most days. It's a great option for people that want a pickup, but maybe don't always need a pickup, plus you are getting great fuel mileage that you won't see with a larger truck. As for me, I wanted to like it, but after comparing it to my BS, I didn't like it as much and I already have a f150 for when I need to pull a trailer.

And how many people with 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks actually use them for what they were made to do? So what type of Pickup do You own?

In my part of the world the use of a pickup for work is very high. I would estimate that 75 to 90 percent of the pickups do some kind of work on a daily basis. I live in farm country and every farm has at least one pickup and many have several. Also, for every farm there are many support businesses that have lots of trucks. Plus, many construction companies building housing, farm sites, storage facilities, etc. Our car lots have many more trucks for sale than cars. SUVs are also plentiful around here.

In my case, my F-150 has it pretty easy. I tow with it more than haul. In my case, mine has a pretty easy life. Most of its work is fairly lite towing. It is a 2023 with a bit less than 20000 miles on it. It is a very nice truck but, due to the ongoing electrical issues with F-150s, it will probably be my last Ford pickup.

Have You had power window issues or battery issues with your F-150? My Brother has a 2023 F-150 and has had problems with the battery and power windows on His.

Mine works perfectly in every respect except when it comes to the charging system. At one year the battery was replaced. Since, it has continued too have issues with the charging system not being robust enough to maintain the required charge of the electrical system. Ford says I need to drive it more so that the battery gets a full (80%) charge. Not going to do that. Instead I have started to use manual control on the transmission and keep the RPMs about 1500 or so. It seems happy doing that and I have not had any additional issues since starting this. Ridiculous !!!!

We own a Sport(2nd)and a Maverick(2nd as well). However it’s the 2.0. I will say I like the Maverick much better than the Sport. Even though they are built at the same plant and share a similar platform on the front half. The Maverick is much better. Far quieter, drives much better. Better seating position. Less rattles. Not 1 issue with 1st MAV and no issues with 2nd other than a battery. Can’t say the same for the Sport. Will never buy another.

I own both. The lariat is smooth and quieter and has good acceleration. It’s a hybrid and have owned 1 year as of tomorrow. I enjoy driving both. Sport has a shorter wheelbase. No problems with either. Both 24’s.

The 2023 BS BB I had and traded last Year for My Maverick see post 17 had bad dash rattles,System Off to Save battery in the cold weather and fuel gauge that wouldn't register full when filled up. The Maverick has a clicking noise in the passenger windshield area but only in real cold weather and not nearly as bad as the BS BB dash rattles which were bad even in warm weather.
