Hello all, I discovered this yesterday on the front left corner of my drivers seat. Bronco sport badlands package. I've owned the truck since April and it is my daily driver with about 15k. it looks like the coating or coloring is flaking off. I do know that with normal wear and tear this can happen but not this fast. one of my previous cars was a gm with leather seats and i owned for 15 years with 300k and no problems what so ever on the leather. I am taking it in for the second service this week and see what the service writer says about fixing this, no way it should wear that quick.

Funny enough, I'm having a somewhat similar issue on mine. On my OB model, it seems like the stitching on the outermost bolster is starting to fray.

Like you, I had another car with leather that had almost 40k miles. The leather on that car was basically perfect. Chalk it up to cheap Ford leather.

That also happened on my 2018 Fusion Titanium. Ford changed out the seat cover but it never looked/felt right and I ultimately regretted them touching it especially as it started happening again. I ended up just buying a touch up kit from seatdoctors.com and it was a perfect match.

Hi there, Juan. Send a message to us with your VIN and the name location of your Ford dealership, along with the details about your situation. I’d like to assist. Thanks!
Hello Ford and thanks for your assistance. Vin :3FMCR9D99MRA49540 and my dealership is Serramonte Ford in Colma Ca. I will be taking it in for scheduled service tomorrow and showing the dealership this wear on my front left corner of the drivers seat. You can see flakes in the picture near were the leather is exposed.

The leather used for automotive purposes has changed over the years. It was more durable years ago, before regulations kicked in concerning the chemicals used to treat the leather.
