Hello BS friends.
Well another poor quality control issue with this vehicle.
My headliner is stained terribly and is currently wet in the rear passenger corner of the headliner, soaked!
Why do they insist on punching holes in the roof for things like the antenna???
Then on top of it they cheap out in sealant. I’m so fed up with the fixing stuff that is not broke. Like putting the antenna on the roof it was fine on the front quarter panel.
Don’t get me started on the stupid cap less gas bull crap.
Let me know if anyone has this issue as well.

I know that leak, one of my escapes had this issue which actually is the seam running along the side channels where the roof rack mounts to the roof. I know the 2013-2019 escapes had this issue. First I have ever seen the Sport have an issue.
Likely where the rack mounts at the back end there the seal has become compromised. A Possible factory flaw, but overloading the roof rack can cause failure of that seam as well.. If you are still within the warranty, get that to the dealer to get looked at.
hopefully it can be resolved in a timely manner

Still under warranty? If not, Ford may still take care of it under a "Good Faith" warranty issue. Take it to the Ford dealership service, and talk with a service advisor and ask for a good faith warranty claim if your warranty has expired. Be polite, it will help in a matter such as this.

I agree in that the vehicle should not have had an issue like this, unless you overused the limit of the roof racks, or the antenna struck a low lying tree branch...just tossing those out.

Thank you for the tip. Never anything placed on the roof rack so that’s not the reason. Just began parking outside again due to a move to a location without covered parking and now this.
I suspect the antenna as this is a common issue lately with Fords but I will be looking into the roof rails now also. Thank you . I build the big Bronco and quality is not great currently. Not saying it’s worse than competitors just that Quality is not “Job One” anymore.

Good luck. I have had some luck with asking for a Good faith warranty claim in the past. When a service advisor sees this damage, they hopefully will turn it in to Ford and help you.

Fingers crossed. Again, being polite and calm will work for you. And if the service advisor cannot/will not help, ask for the regional service manager (not the dealerships manager, the regional service manager). I also have had good luck when the local dealership turned me down, and talked (over the phone) with the regional service manager.

I'm not sure what you did to your BS to extend its length to 21 feet, but that may have had something to do with the leak.

Seriously, though, I've not seen this issue mentioned in the recent exhaustive search I did on the BS.

It's a completely different vehicle, but on an older Explorer I had, I thought the roof was leaking in the rear (very similar to your pics) ... and then discovered it was the rear windshield wiper washer fluid. The tubing had come undone and was leaking. I was able to fix that myself without much trouble.
