I've got the lane assist vibration/alert level set to high, but I rarely feel the steering while vibration warning if I drift into a line. I do feel the steering wheel correct me often, but I'm surprised I don't receive a vibration warning first. Does anyone know what the criteria is for vibrations to to occur vs the steering wheel corrections? I feel like it should do the vibrate if you begin drifting, and then steer you if you continue to drift. What's the deal? Thanks

I’ve felt the vibration when I get very close to the line but not before. And it won’t really steer you correctly unless you have the copilot 360+ with the lane centering feature. Instead you will “ping-pong” back and forth from one side to the other until you start steering by yourself.

The vibration and correction is much more subtle than my wife’s 2018 Explorer. As for the 360+ ping-ponging, I don’t find that at all. When on cruise and the control shows active it stays right in the center of the lane. I’m not sure if 360+ adds anything to steering support when not on cruise, I haven’t noticed it.

He said 'unless you have 360+' , so if you are using lane keeping it will ping pong compared to the lane centering with the 360+. Lane Centering of course only works when the Adaptive Cruise is set, where Lane Keeping work at any speed above 30 or 40mph when activated.

Yes, I see I misread the 360+ comment.

Regarding 360+, I had the chance to use it today at 40 mph on a very twisty road and it was a lot of fun letting the BS drive itself. It only canceled once when I hit a newly paved section with temporary dashed lines. I can see where this would be like having “super power-steering” and very relaxing on a highway trip.
