July 2022 Waiting Room

I’m not sure I’m in the right place. So, sorry in advance if I’m not.

I ordered in April, build date got pushed back two weeks, then was 5 days ahead of schedule.
The tracker switched from built to shipped on 8/5/22 but here we are with no update.

When I ask the dealership they say they have no way of tracking it other than what I’m looking at, “..once it leaves a ford facility until it hits another we can’t track it..”

I am seeing so many broncos being built and shipped within a couple days on the waiting room thread it is making me more sad and frustrated! ???

A couple of things. First, they CAN tell you, ask them to look at the visibility report if you are comfortable doing so. Second, use FordChat, tell them your dealer won’t give you the rail at information, and they should give it to you. You have to log in to “My Ford” to access the chat. Third, if you are able not to, don’t ever use that dealership for service and make sure they don’t tag your car with their name when it gets there.

Same here? I am happy for all of those who made it out of here though. Someday we will too. Just hope it isn’t before I am really old and gray…?

If ford chat says that my car has not yet been assigned a rail car number, does anyone know if this means it’s sitting and hasn’t shipped yet even though it’s marked as in transit?

I texted my dealer this morning to tell them of the change in tracker status. She immediately pulled up the Visibility report and it did show released, Awaiting shipment. Funny how I knew first. My ETA is 9/26-10/02....YIKES!

If it helps, mine is 10 miles from right now awaiting a local truck transport. My ETA according to Ford is 9/11-9/18. Obviously it got here ahead of schedule.

Mine seems to be slightly ahead of schedule too, but not by much - early phone tracing on the rail car said Missouri by 8/27, but just got there today. Now just needs to get up to Des Moines area - not sure the route it's going to take. One of the trackers mentioned Princeton, IN but that seems like it'd be wildly inefficient, but who knows

funny, the difference of thousands of miles, we might actually get into our cars around the same time.

I'm an hour away from my dealership, partially due to heavy So Cal traffic, I decided to go down there on Saturday. also, i want day light to inspect the car.

now my car is waiting for me
