Hey there! I bought a Bronco Sport Big Bend in March, and in June I hit a deer head-on on an interstate, causing quite a bit of damage. It took 5 weeks and a $12k insurance claim to get it back from the body shop (hooboy, I hope I never have to replace the headlights on my own, that was more than $3k alone!). Just 10 minutes after I picked it up, I got two warning lights—the wrench one and the engine one. There was also a loud sound of air (the...intake?) every time I accelerated.
The body shop was able to check the error code and found it had something to do with the turbo in the engine, so now it's off to the Ford dealer. I'm curious if anyone has had problems with that aspect of the engine. I'm pretty pissed that after 5 weeks they only did the cosmetic stuff and I'm worried that the engine could be seriously damaged?
Obviously I'm bummed to have been in an accident with my new car, but to be honest it would have been so much worse in my old, small car—I imagine I would have been injured. Thumbs up for safety, at least.
