In the last two days my Apple CarPlay has stopped staying connected. I've tried swapping cords and it's not my phone because I connected to another vehicle yesterday. Anyone else?

So, mine stays connected but it drops connection for a split second at least 3 times in a 30 min trip on average. It’s as if I had a CD in the player and hit a nasty pothole.
Swapping back and forth between USB C and USB A helps it for a bit which lends me to believe it’s a cache’d memory issue on the ports…not sure what will fix it, hope a software update someday does.

You might try turning off Bluetooth, it stopped mine from having issues

I’ve had other glitches with CarPlay and Android Auto, but every time I’ve had any connection issue it’s been a dirty port on my phone. This has been across three different vehicles and a half dozen phones. Maybe the other vehicle is smoother or the phone is stowed differently, so the connection didn’t get jostled as much?

I’d try cleaning the port. I clean my lightning port out with an interdental brush. Never damaged a phone with one, canned air on the other hand, I’ve seen inflate phones, blowing out speakers and display seams.

Also if you have a brush for cleaning a beard trimmer or why I use is the pure port tool that is specifically for cleaning the port in your phone. You’d be surprised how much pocket lint and other dirt is in your port. The other thing to check is on your cable check the 4th pin from the right. If it looks rusty or burnt toss the cable. That’s your power/charge pin.

This seemed to help a bit! It's not a perfect connection, but it's definitely better.
