Can you get a Broncos sport big bend with machine, grade vinyl or leather interior? Don’t want to spend for Outer Banks, but don’t want the cloth seats either.

Thanks. Anyone else interested in sharing ? I know big bend shows a leather timmed option but not sure if that’s the whole seat ? Trying to stick to the big bend trim level.

From what I can tell, it’s not the whole seat. But, if seats are your most important option, I’d highly recommend you go Heritage or Outer Banks. Both have great seats.

Further, once you upgrade the seats with the accompanying package, you are approaching their price range. But, to be honest, right now I could get them cheaper in my area. The reason? If you order your big bend with your special options, expect to pay order price. The Heritage and OBX with the nice seats (and many more options) are on the lots and if you’re market is anything like ours , you can get a couple thousand off of sticker (and maybe more).

So, since money seems an issue but seats a priority, I’d recommend doing some leg work on local lots and see how willing they are to negotiate on Heritage or OBX, you might find the right vehicle at the right price.

So no option on leather for big bend. Got it.
For outer banks, how much has changed from 22 to 23 or 24 models ?

You could always buy a Big Bend, and then just get leather installed aftermarket by a company such as Katzkin...however that will easily be $2000 or more.

The other option would be to get custom vinyl or leather DIY seat covers to put over the factory cloth seats. That could be $100-$300 depending on quality and materials. Might not look perfect but would at least give you the type of seat material you are looking for.

I was also going to suggest the Katzkins route, @Arcee . I had them do my expedition last year and they are first rate. Also, if it matters to you (it did to me) the Katzkins are still real leather. Ford uses Pleather material even on the big money trucks like the Raptor, etc. They no longer offer real leather one any Ford vehicle as I understand it.

Ford's version of vinyl is called Active X:
What is Ford ActiveX™?
ActiveX is a high-end synthetic seating material designed to fit your active lifestyle. It is easier to clean, resistant to staining, and more durable than leather while maintaining a premium look and feel over time. ActiveX does not include any animal-based material.

The only version of the BS that has any leather in the seats is the Badlands and leather seats are never all leather. Below is from the 2024 BS Order Guide. You can see the seat material options for all of the model versions.

Thanks for this. Is the active x the premium trimmed seats?

Seems as though it’s part of black appearance package (is that for big bend?). And for outerbanks.

Here is the link to the BlueOvalforums where I get the order guides. forums.

I believe that the Active X is what Ford calls the Premium Trimmed Seats. Yes, according to the order guide the Black Appearance Package is only available on the Big Bend. I think Premium Trimmed Seats are standard on Outerbanks but I think that means Active X trim on the outsides of the seat with the middle being cloth. Someone else with those models can verify this. Each trim level has different packages based on those trims as higher trims will have more standard equipment. Remember, items on the order guide are always subject to change by Ford. The order guide I am looking at is from 11/2023. You should check with the Ford website or your Ford dealer for the most current information.

Black Appearance Package
• Cargo Μαt
• Floor Liners, Front and Rear (without Carpet Mats)
• Unique Graphics Package
• Grille – Carbon Black Two-tone with “Bronco™”
• Painted Shadow Black Roof
• Seats: – Sport Contour Buckets – Premium Trimmed
• Unique Badges with Black Accents
• 17” Matte Black-Painted Wheel
Note: Not available with Black Diamond Off-Road Package (86B)

Order Guide is excellent to describe what's standard and options at all trim levels.

Order Guides - Currie Ford

They're what the dealers get at the start of model years.

Just search Ford Order Guide. There are lots of other places they can be found.
