Thanks, that was interesting. I have 55k on my BSBB 3 cyl and hove no engine noise or power loss, however I have used synthetic 100% oil in stead of the blend and I have stayed away from the 0-20 and gone a step up to 5-20. Just feel it lubricates better and has kept the valve chatter down that you get on start-up. Don't know. Just my guess. Also, I would like to know how may folks follow the Yellow guide for top-offs in the coolant. Acid in it could cause some of this damage as well. Don't know.
