Ford Bronco Sport I waved to a Bronco Sport today! 2021-Ford-Bronco-Sport

Thought it would be fun to post up drive by waves in case the waver/wavee happens to be a member here.

I'll start off today as I waved to a fellow Bronco Sport while traveling down to the big city. If you're a member here, it was cool passing you today. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Date: 7/4/2022
Place: Hwy 41, near Fresno CA
Vehicle sighted: Area 51 Badlands with a roof rack full of fun stuff for the holiday.
Wave back: Yes

I never get the wave back. I waved to at least three Sports this weekend and they didn't even look. Coming from the WRX community where most/all WRX owners wave to each other, it's kind of sad.

I had a wrx for 6 years and never got a wave anywhere that car went, including cross country 6 times and spent long periods in Vermont and central coast California which are some of the friendliest areas. I've gotten plenty of wave exchanges, weird looks, and honks from BS owners, occasionally from the big papa broncos.

I'm a waver, through and through. Can't start a movement if you're not fully committed to the cause.

If you see a young lady going ham in an Area 51 Big Bend with a bunch of mods, that'd be me. I'm driving across the country from NC back to AZ 2 weeks from today so keep your eyes peeled on the freeways. 👀

Velocity Blue Badlands coming soon. I'll still wave at you then, too.

Got to wave at a 2 Door at the casino and actually chatted for a bit. Her husband is the fleet seller at Serramonte Ford and they lucked out on waiting only 6 months for her 2 Door. I will have to stop in there for my next purchase.

Just not my thing and I'm sure others may be the same. I'm focused on the road and increasingly unfocused multitask morons texting, filming, doing anything but driving safely anymore. Rolling intersections, crossing center lines etc. I've not seen a wave, have no intention giving one. Enjoy the ride, park near me, chat it up that's great, love my sport and tell anyone who wants to ask about it. Let the jeepers wave it's their dorky thing far as I am concerned.

Don't feel bad. If you're ever in Chicagoland, I'll wave to you. I still wave. I just got the car. But after a few weeks of no returned waves, it's getting kind of silly.

@Benanza, I used to get tons of waves in my lowered blue 2011 wrx. On the sad day I sold it, I got an enthusiastic wave from a tricked out 2004 STi hatch with a cool iridescent mirror purple wrap. It was awesome and I knew whoever bought it would be welcomed into their strong community, a community based on enthusiasm, aftermarket support and shared rod knock and ringland failure adventures.

Kinda a wave, but parked next to a fellow Area 51 owner (but Badlands vs my Outerbanks) and ended up chit chatting for a bit. He bought his Badlands from the lot at MSRP (knew dealer so market adjustment was dropped, good for him!).

Anyway, biggest difference b/w his Area 51 Badlands vs my Area 51 Outerbanks... YES, you guessed it, his sunroof does NOT RATTLE!

Cool, I have waved to everybody driving the same car as me, just something to do. It is just meant to be a friendly gesture and nothing more.
