Would not consider it a beginner trail. Plenty of areas with rock articulation that you could definitely do some damage if you don't know lines. Gaia labels it a moderate trail.

I watch a lot of the videos on YouTube from the many overland travelers on this particular trail. I would love to try it, but the really rutted, rocky parts look like it might be beyond challenging for the Sport(my Big Bend anyway)-check out the Goat Trail, and Buzzard’s Roost overlook. Also, check out the abandoned R/R town near Hinton, WV. Particularly Coddiwomple Overland, also-great overland content just the same

Ya I think you guys may be right a little over the beginner stage. The buzzards roost actual doesn’t look bad at all.
