I just did 800+ miles last week, mostly highway, at 80+. even blew the doors off a full sized Bronco Badlands (first one I've seen) who didn't get out of the left lane. handled great. averaged 23+ MPG
I have a 2021 Badlands. We have been to Fla. from NC. Speeds in excess of 80 at times without a problem. Getting onto I 85 stepping into traffic at 80 plus MPH no problem. It's a great fun vehicle to drive and this is coming from someone stepping down from a Challenger Hellcat!
Cruising It’s fine til you approach triple digit speeds. Just drove from Chicago to KC this morning. Supposed to take 8.5 hours and I shaved 90 minutes off and got in at 7 hours flat. Passing power above 75 is lacking in my opinion (but my previous car had almost twice the horsepower and 500 fewer pounds to move with it so my perspective is skewed). There have been times I’ve wanted to pass and been denied, which I’m not used to.
It can also feel a little squirrelly with a crosswind at high speed or on pavement with ruts due to the short wheelbase, otherwise perfectly stable and comfortable up to 90/95 unless there are tighter bends.
I have my BS BL for just over 6 weeks, is a little bit more noisy in the interior than my 2011 Murano. Good reserve power, better acceleration than my Murano 6 cil, and more stable. In addition to that is 4x4 and a show stopper. BTW, I am getting 27.5 mpg so far, average.
The 2.0 L must really be strong because my 1.5L base model excels at 80 mph and is right comfortable at 90.
I’ve passed 75 mph traffic smartly but will admit that’s about it for quick overtaking.
High speed mpg averages are about 28 mpg. 1800 rpm nets about 68 mph in 8th gear, in normal Goat. In Sport Goat I’d be in sixth or maybe seventh gear and around 2500 rpm for a bit more Yank.
