I know this post is old, but I'm in greater Houston, too. I'm looking for any local 4x4 groups; so if you know any and can share, that'd be cool.

Also, my kids and I well sometimes get up to Creekside OR Ranch in Splendora. We usually go without much planning on a Sunday if we're bored; but I can let you know when we go if you're interested.
