Help with Oracle LED letters

Hi all. Looking for help from folks who have installed the Oracle LED letters. My Sport went in to the shop today to have the lettering installed, but they have refused to install them. They claim they are the incorrect size to fit in the recesses on the grille where the lettering should sit. Please see the photo below. There is a noticeable difference in size (About 1/4 inch larger), but I have seen these letters installed on Bronco Sports before. I want to make sure this product isn't supposed to line up with the OEM letters exactly, but will still fit. Do my letters have a factory defect, or should they install just fine despite the difference in size? Already emailed Oracle this photo and I'm waiting to see what they think.

Heck, it's hard to even tell if the letters are recessed into the grille. I found this ebay listing for a grille without the lettering and it looks flat to me.

There is about a 1mm recess for the letters in the plastic of the grille.

Called their phone line to ask. They're one size fits all. The lettering on the big Bronco is apparently the exact same.

Well then, they are the wrong size and you need a refund. I’m betting the lettering is not the same between the 2 but I would have to dig to get proof of that.

I know I'm far from the first to install these though. Folks have made these work on their Sports. Oracle guy said they just installed a set on a Sport this morning. We'll see what their customer service says about the size difference, but I'd love to hear from someone who did it themselves before I go chasing a refund. I really do like the look.

From those pictures, it does look like the letters are a little bigger than stock letters.

Just got it back into the garage. The turn signals look great. Compared the letters and they are ever so slightly bigger than the OEMs. People seem to have made it work though. Going to skip the dealer and get a hold of a vehicle lighting shop in Tucson to get their thoughts.

He straight up sands down his grille. That's a massive extra step.

You need to sand and spray like above. They won’t directly go in unless you have a big bronco. They won’t fit without refinishing

Got a response from Oracle. Gonna call an auto lighting shop in Tucson to do it instead of asking the dealer. They should work fine.

I would not be happy with the fit they show in their picture. That looks horrible.
