Anyone else have this issue? My lights are always on automatic and sometimes when I get out of the car and lock it, the lights stay on. Only way to shut it off is to unlock the car and relock it. Am I alone on this one?

Ford Bronco Sport Headlights stay on when in auto mode? 1645824892515

AUTOLAMPS
Autolamps turn the headlamps on in low light situations or when the wipers operate.
Switch the lighting control to the autolamps position.
E281240
Note: The lighting control defaults to autolamps each time you switch your vehicle on.
The headlamps remain on for a period of time after you switch the ignition off. Use the touchscreen to adjust the period of time that the headlamps remain on.
Note: If you switch the autolamps on, you cannot switch the high beams on until the system turns the low beams on.

Repeatedly press one of the buttons to adjust the brightness.

HEADLAMP EXIT DELAY
After you switch the ignition off, you can switch the headlamps on by pulling the direction indicator lever toward you. You will hear a short tone. The headlamps will switch off automatically after three minutes with any door open or 30 seconds after the last door has been closed. You can cancel this feature by pulling the direction indicator lever toward you again or switching the ignition on.

You're not alone. There's some older threads about this issue, and I am currently experiencing it as well.

The lights will turn off, if not by the lighting delay, then the battery saver will turn them off.
I have a Badlands, headlights are in auto mode, have not had an issue with them not turning off nor have I had a dead or low battery because of the headlights.

Do you have the “stay on” timer set? I turned mine off.
Not that I am aware of. Where would I set that just so I can check?

Using the Sync screen I seem to recall it is under Settings-Vehicle or Vehicle-Settings. Sorry but my BS is in the barn with the battery disconnected while I’m away for 6 weeks on vacation or I would check.

As MaxVelocity said there are a few threads about this although slightly different variations.

Ours actually timed out and turned off then came back on about ten minutes later. It was parked facing the window in our living room at night. I was sitting on the couch watching tv and the drl’s just turned on all by themselves. Only happened once so far. We let the dealer know to make a note of it in case of issues down the road.

This setting pathway sounds right (I am not near my BS at the moment either).

Within 2 weeks of owning my BS I had experienced 3 different instances of lights being on well more than 30 minutes after I parked it (even though the timer was set to below 30 minutes).

In one of the other threads, someone mentioned the issue might involve a bug where a random amount of time is being picked by the system in terms of how long it holds the lights.

Whatever the root cause, I completely disabled the timer on mine. I haven't had the issue occur since then.

Hey guys, I have noted this issue on my BS, but I had a different and may be related one. When the Autolamps is on, it takes forever to turn the lights on when light conditions change i.e. a tunnel. In comparison, my VW turns the lights almost immediately (1sec delay), but the BS takes almost 30s or even more, which is really annoying.
Does anyone have this issue? Is there a way to avoid that delay?

I also disabled the timer and haven't had any issues since then.

I have noticed this also. I have owned mine for 2.5 months and have noticed it three times in 700 miles. I live three miles from work and do not have to drive too much. If it had happened any other time, I have missed it and the vehicle finally shut them off.
