We ordered nearly at the same time, almost the same car. I just got my car on Friday March 25th. They were surprised it got off the rail and through the local delivery as fast as it did. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
Thanks! Picked it up this past Saturday ?

Checked with our dealer for a status. (We ordered a BL on Oct. 28, 2021, premium, 360+, tow, cactus)
Dealer said we have a status of "can't change our order now"....I forget what the actual code is. But that's all the information he gave us. They said there is a parts shortage. (Really?!) We asked why so many similar BLs are getting made that were ordered months after us. Dealer said 'due to parts shortage'. So basically, we are nowhere ahead of where we were on Oct. 28th, 2021. Note that the dealer is most likely a low volume one. *sigh*

Can't change usually comes when the order is "locked in." Per the blue oval forum description of the ordering process, "Dealers can change vehicle specifications for a scheduled vehicle up until the vehicle is 'locked in' for production or about two weeks prior to the scheduled build date." If that's really the status of your order, it should have been scheduled to a week and may now be scheduled to a day at this point. Your dealer should be able to give you much better detail than this. I'd demand to see the vehicle visibility report. I'd stand on the managers desk until he produced it. But I'm kind a tool like that.

Again, I would never even consider a special order in these trying times.

Thanks for the feedback/information. Wish it wasn't so, but the dealer (manager) wasn't helpful. He did say that the vehicle, if ever it is built and received, would be at MSRP, no markup. I guess that information was supposed to keep us from moaning to them.

I feel your pain.., you ordered 2 months before mine… and I’m getting frustrated. No word from the dealer and Ford. I had to call and check every couple of weeks or so. Still not scheduled. So your status Maybe is a good sign that it will be built soon…. We hope.

I think for a loaded BL 1 year might be the real wait time if not more or never… it will be built without some option or parts eventually.

this supply chain issue is pretty frustrating. VW now is saying ship shortage for them is not getting better Til ‘24!!!!

maybe go order another one from a different dealership. Remove the hitch option, cus that’s easier to add later, and see what happens. I may just do that.

The dealers you ordered from could’ve had their allocations cut due to them jacking prices over sticker. Hence the longer waits. There’s three dealers by me that all have at least 2-3 BS BL each arriving within the next week or two and are unsold units. At least were unsold last week when I started shopping around before I secured one. Literally just walked in and got one. And 2 of the dealers are small dealers. Rural Ford spots. Ford has also been building in batches it seems. Last November deliveries were all escapes, then edges over the last month and now April/may BS and next month and into June F150s. At least what I’ve seen and been told by dealers I’ve been to in the northeast.

Dealer allocations are supposed to have nothing to do with retail orders. Mavericks have even gone to a strict FIFO (barring constraints) process. Hopefully that catches on with other lines.

True. Missed that. But yeah, thought all sold units shipped first

Theoretically retail orders receive incremental allocation and priority scheduling. In February BS sales were split 77% dealer stock orders to 23% retail orders. Suddenly the last two weeks Ford deigned to schedule only retail BS orders instead of the stock orders that seemed to be getting the lions share of parts and places on the production line. I think there may be a little awakening that the customer base is starting to feel abused by the process. Between the chaos of Bronco, Maverick, and Lightning production I hope some decisions are being made to get right with customers who have demonstrated a lot of patience in all this.

I don't know about that. I tried to order my BL from one dealer and they told me they couldn't submit it with the options I wanted. I went to the next dealer, same day, and they submitted the order with no problems. They told me dealer #1 had been having all their employees submit bogus orders to increase their stock.
