Grinding noise when turning left and right at slower speeds

My Bronco Sport has started making grinding noises when turning left and right at slower speeds…like turning into and out of parking spots….I've heard this is some sort of common problem with this car…just winding if there might be some sort of recall now?

The most likely cause is the RDU. There are quite a few threads about this on the forum describing similar if not identical symptoms. Some say a fluid change resolves the problem, while others required an RDU replacement. If you haven't seen a trusted shop or the dealer about it, I'd do so at your first opportunity.

If you have the Ford App it'll show active recalls for your VIN. Also, you can go to https://www.nhtsa.gov/ to search for recalls.

There’s no recall that fixes the issue - one related item depends on the year of your Bronco Sport - has to do with the vent tube allowing moisture in.
