Do you shift on the fly? Or while stopped? I typically only use sand mode while beach driving and come to a stop to go in and out. What about everyone else?

I’ve shifted on the fly for Sport Mode and Eco Mode before, but not for the 4wheel drive modes, I come to a complete stop for those 2 modes.

Usually on the fly, but that's only from normal to ECO and only because I generally forget before driving off.

There's no restriction in the Owner's Manual regarding mode switching. There are warnings about using certain modes in certain conditions. The relevant section is titled Drive Mode Control.

The main concern would be the locks, right? Both are on the fly-able per the manual with the rear diff being automatically speed limited.

It really shouldn’t matter on the BS. It’s not like older 4 wheelers where you were engaging gears, here it is the computer that changes how the clutches are engaging and disengaging.
