Hi everyone,

I’ve been lurking for a while, really excited I could be a part of such a great place.
I’m curious how everyone is managing these panels on the bronco sports. (I haven’t seen if the badlands trim has these)

How is everyone maintaining them? I’m curious if anyone has used a wrap or anything. I really dislike the gloss black plastic. They show too many scratches. I understand this may be my personal gripe. I find generally they are everywhere on cars nowadays. I had it in my Corolla 2021 and over a year it looked terrible even with plastic specific cleaning products. I can’t find find a proper care guide for that kind of plastic.

I’m very curious if anyone has done something to either cover the gloss or use some sort of matte material over it

also, I do apologize if this is the wrong thread, this is my first post.

Knowing these panels are easily scratched should make it easier to take a little care during your normal washing routine. Don't use drive-through car washes that use brushes. If you're hand washing make sure you thoroughly rinse your wash towel/mitt before using it on the side panels.

If you do get light scratches or swirl marks you can use Meguiar's PlastX to buff them out.

If you don't think you can follow such a regimen then you can apply a vinyl wrap.

For what it's worth, I've owned my Badlands for nearly a year now, and I have no scratches on the side panels.

thanks Mark,

That’s very good to know. I’m a little amazed at the swirls already I have since just grabbing this off the lot in August.

do you know if there’s a limit to how often you can use that Meguiars product?

I've been using it for a very long time--it works great for keeping motorcycle helmet visors, windshields, and other plastic parts clean and clear of scratches--and it's never caused visible damage.

mine are also pretty pooched. I'm either going to wrap them or have them refinished and cleared. don't know if i'll get that far, our BS sees alot of camping and trails....

but it looks like there are some good options, as mentioned above, good luck!

And to add to Escape2Bronco, I have used several products and stickers from VortexSigns. They may cost a tad more sometimes, but I’m very happy with their quality and durability.
