Fuel door release

Hello All!
My wife and I just purchased two Bronco Sports and are loving them thus far. The only issue I’ve come across is in my wife’s Big Bend the fuel door will not open without using something to pry it open. It’s like it’s missing a plastic piece that the spring mechanism works with. You can see the empty hole in the picture. Any ideas? I plan on taking it to a dealer, but if this is a simple fix I’d just as soon do it myself…
