My wife and I have a BB and a BL, I’d go BB and not look back. Especially with the options available in the two you have listed. Don’t let people convince you the 1.5 is lackluster. It is not. It is very good. Our BB never struggles, even at high altitude and steep grades here in Wyoming. The...
Your Big Bend is 4wd, it just doesn’t have a 4wd lock button like the Badlands does. All Bronco Sports are active AWD, they are primarily in front wheel drive but shift power to the rear based on conditions. The awd system in your Big Bend will out perform just about any other awd system in a...
So far, so good! I’m loving them. I really feel like the 235 is the sweet spot for the BS, but some folks swear by the 245s. I really have have no complaints. I got a chance yesterday to do some light off roading and test out the tires (and all of the GOAT modes) and was very impressed. The...
Just installed a set of Nitto Nomad Grapplers 235/65/17 on my 2022 Badlands. Thank you @Discount Tire!! :like:
This is a new tire from Nitto, and there isn't a lot of info or reviews out there for them yet. So far I love them! They are a XL rated All Terrain tire designed for crossovers and...
I think the overall packaging is my favorite part of the Bronco Sport. It is roomy, rugged, uses good materials (plastics, seat materials, plastic flooring...), has ample storage for its' size, is versatile (off road, in town, on the interstate), has good tech....The overall package is very...
Between my wife and I, we have one of each (1.5 and 2.0) and to be honest I find the 1.5 in her Big Bend more than enough. I have never felt like it needed more power and I live and drive at high elevation with mountain passes. It flat out scoots when you get after it, and it gets...
I had the exact same problem with my 22 Badlands. The dealer couldn't figure it out and neither could Ford when I called them. I deleted it from the account, reset it in the vehicle settings, and then unhooked the battery for about 20 minutes. After that it loaded up and worked just like it...
OP-I can definitely sympathize, as I'm in a similar boat as a first time Ford buyer, coming from years of Toyota, Subaru, Honda, and Mazda with few (if any) reliability issues during my ownership (though most I haven't kept very long). I never thought I'd end up in a Ford, but these Bronco...
Fantastic write up and photos! These really do make great little adventure vehicles. If you really want to up your mpg, try a few trips without the roof basket (unless you have it full of gear and need it). Even an empty basket really pulls the mpg down on just about any vehicle. I'd bet you'd...
The Bronco Sport is by no means perfect. Like anything it has flaws. I think a lot of your analysis is fair, and can appreciate your perspective on the Bronco Sport, however a lot of your comparisons are between an off road oriented crossover, and an enthusiast model hot hatch, which really...
I own two Bronco Sports. Mine is a Badlands and my wife's is a Big Bend. I was able to test drive the 1.5 in a Big Bend prior to purchase and really liked it, but thought the 2.0 was a "must have" for me. Now that I have both, if I could get a Big Bend with skids and off road goodies or even a...
The roof rack most likely accounts for the loss in the mpg, they look cool but boy do they mess with your aerodynamics, especially at high speed. If you have it on just for looks, try taking it off for a couple of tank fulls, you'll likely see a big difference in efficency.
Hello All!
My wife and I just purchased two Bronco Sports and are loving them thus far. The only issue I’ve come across is in my wife’s Big Bend the fuel door will not open without using something to pry it open. It’s like it’s missing a plastic piece that the spring mechanism works with. You...
I bought a set for my 4Runner and they have been fantastic for it. Quiet, great traction on road and off, good in the slick Wyoming winter conditions as well. I will likely replace my scorpions with the Trail Terrains on my Badlands at some point.
