Hi All,
I (actually a friend pointed it out) discovered a lightshow at the front lights the other day ... and could only make it happen once but not anymore.
We noticed an alternating illumination of the front lights, going back and forth from left to right, several times, for a few seconds ... clearly not a malfunction but a
fancy feature to show off ... comes with the software by Ford.
It happened when the car was parked, just after shutting down.
How is it activated? I tried once more with my key fob, lock / unlock ... and it did it again ... but could never activate it again.

Any similar experiences .... what's the secret?

Thanks

Amendment:
just did some experiments. It's the strangest thing! You can clearly see the moving/wandering lights from left to right and back, several times, after unlocking...ON THE SECURITY CAMERA SCREEN inside the office ...
However ... standing outside in front of the car you don't see it ... just lights on, still, for a while.
(checked with a friend - in real time)

WEIRD ... ??!!??

These are LED lights, so they appear to flash on camera. It has to do with the frequency the lights operate at compared to the shutter speed the camera uses. More here:

Thanks for the reply,
I'm somewhat familiar with camera frame rates and objects, but it is more like a smooth wandering across the front, from one side to the other and back. It happens though at the same time/duration as the headlights stay on after shut-off and other settings.
But since it is only visible on a screen from a security camera / life, it must be as you say.

Thanks

Yep it's a frequency issue. It's visible on some of the early sport sales videos showcasing the new headlight appearance etc. It's a video trick.

yup... just noticed this yesterday. I remote started my car and happened to check my home security cam. The lights were flashing on cam but not in real life.
