I want to use the FORSCAN system on my new 2025 Bronco Sport Heritage.
I’ve never used or had FORSCAN.
I know I need the FORSCAN software.
But I don’t understand or know what hardware I need to buy
Help please.

You need an interface from the platform that you might use for the app (computer, tablet, laptop, smartphone, etc.) to the vehicle's OBD2 connector. If you are wanting to use FORSCAN to change things you will probably want to use a "cabled" version rather than bluetooth or wifi. The FORSCAN website should have recommendations on a suitable interface. I'm sure the good folks here will also have suggestions.

Since I only use FORSCAN Lite (not full FORSCAN) for doing live data/code scanning, I use FORScan Lite on an iPhone 13 with an OBDLink MX+ bluetooth adapter (not the cheapest adapter out there, but I wanted a decent one).

Cheers!

That's the same one I use and have for years. Just FYI: This one is not on FORScan's list of officially supported devices any more. The only one they vouch for on their site now is the OBDLink:

https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-EX-FORScan-OBD-Adapter/dp/B081VQVD3F/ref=sr_1_7?crid=FGXYMU3JQKU5&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.tc9-PyIOqqUxKU4f8hwUdV0RzYMviZyzvprck1P10HRxCZ4cckHgpzXjN1_SZs2QeY_J6L4z2xb1R891NrdSmTXZGvk2XO0JKgDByiZRzGNohFXZOzDrAcYG6vThwj-lkxbADJ3cEZAlo3PiLe1YZx2xbURM0ogtDO-SP9UndUUO23Anou1fCZ593OIKaGTL2OgiDLr0c42vEsKzRk7E1MqXzxnAUIPr1jyNpTwuldAKMnvNYlU87ZlqbjLH4fpkhN-t_PxzThjqJJ8xHV_uQqlYiDqwRjLWWqhf4iaad2g.EcaiW4-Fl9JMm5DMF7n5e8VV4j0pFfl0IPcbLH5vjRU&dib_tag=se&keywords=forscan+cable&qid=1761236079&sprefix=forscan+cable,aps,124&sr=8-7

With that said: I still use my VLinker with zero issues and I use FORScan for a lot of things most people don't even know you can do with it. I can vouch for the same cable you recommended.

@tekoontz All you need is a cable and a license from FORScan to use their software. A 2 month license is free, and a 1-year license is $20 and gives you access to be able to use FORScan beta for advanced module programming procedures.

I also have the officially supported OBDLink Adapter… $50 a couple years ago now listed at $70, the camel says it’s been as low at $60 in the past year
