Honestly I think regulators will have to adjust to consumers on this one. The market simply isn’t moving as fast as some would like. Hybridization makes a lot of sense & seems to be as much electrification as many, myself included, are willing to adopt at this point in time. Right now Toyota is looking like the smartest person in the room for spending 2 decades developing hybrid tech in all sorts of applications.
Ford following Toyota’s footsteps in Hybrids. Meanwhile Toyota is developing solid state batteries.
