So a week or so ago when I went to start my BB remotely before going out I noticed somehow I had been signed out of my Ford Pass app. But when I tried to sign back in it wouldn't accept my login. I tried changing my password which it seemed to accept, but I still couldn’t sign in.
At this point I wondered if the app was corrupted or something, but I didn’t have time to think about it. So I just started the vehicle old school.
Throughout the day whenever I tried to sign in it just refused to accept my login. After work I dashed down to the local Ford dealership and got there just before they closed for the weekend. Someone there tried their best to help me but to no avail. We even reset the system in the car and while I could connect my phone I still couldn’t sign in. He then suggested I make an appointment when convenient to have the system flashed.
So I left it at that and went home. The next day I was thinking about this over morning coffee and tried once more to login. This time I reconsidered the message I kept getting: the country listed at login must match the country in you Ford account profile.
Now this was wtf because I had never changed my account profile. Nonetheless I signed into my Ford account via the local dealership website and found my profile info was missing. More specifically my address and in extent my country of residence. Only my name, phone number and vehicle were there.
So I re-entered the info and tapped ”activate” then signed out. When I went to login to my Ford Pass app—voila!, it work.
Now I don’t understand how my info got erased. I’m wondering if the app updated and somehow my info had been partially wiped.
I have no idea, but I’m glad it’s working again.
