Ford 8F35 transmission pressure switch fix

Hello everyone, this is a helpful post for the future

Ford Taurus 2021 with 8F35 transmission, had an issue suddenly no reverse ( R light blinking in shifter ) and drive stuck in 3rd, scanned for faults and got the following codes :

P0840 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor / Switch A Circuit

P0843 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor / Switch A Circuit High

P0845 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor / Switch B Circuit

P0848 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor / Switch B Circuit High


Inspected transmission harness looks good, the culprit is the pressure sensor inside transmission mounted on valve body ( part number JM5P-9D290-AE ) replaced it and car back to normal

Hope this helps anyone with the same issue as I couldn’t find anything about it on the internet.

Here in Saudi Arabia we have all models of ford Taurus, it’s made by Changan so it might have a different name where you live, here is a reference picture of the model from the internet
