Do a search in the forums. It has been discussed a bit. According to the esourcebook, page 44, the Bronco Sport cannot be flat towed. It says,4 wheels down...can you tow it?...don't think so due to trans... anybody know?
I have been in contact with both the sales manager here at Future Ford, and with my Brother-in-Law who is the sales manager for Fox Ford in Grand Rapids, both have checked with their respective Rep's at Ford and tell me that the Sport is indeed flat towable, and that the internal esource document I was referencing is out of date and is being updated. So I am hanging onto my reservation for now in the hopes this turns out to be fact.My advice is.. with all the extra money saved from not buying the 2/4 dr bronco, get a flatbed if you really want the sport.
Thank you! They have not landed yet where I am. Much appreciated. From the 2021 Bronco Sport Manual:
Recreational Towing - All-Wheel
and Four-Wheel Drive Vehicles (If
Equipped)
You cannot recreational tow your vehicle
with all wheels on the ground because
vehicle or transmission damage could
occur. We recommend towing your vehicle
with all four wheels off the ground, such
as when using a car-hauling trailer.
Otherwise, you cannot recreational tow
your vehicle.
If you mean the manual... for your reading pleasure please see the attached PDF version.Thank you! They have not landed yet where I am. Much appreciated.
