Hey all,

I recently had a check engine light come on and I brought my 2022 Bronco Sport OB into the dealer, and they found a hairline crack in the EVAP ejector tube. They said it was not covered under the warranty and wanted to charge me ~$900 for the repair. They gave me the part number LX6Z9C623G and I found it online for about ~$270.

Is this something that I could replace myself or should I bring it in to another auto shop? I do not have much experience working with cars and I am wondering how involved it is to swap it out. Has anyone else had this same issue and have any advice or suggestions?

Thanks!

Seems like this should be covered under the emission warranty.

Looks to me like a simple enough job. Did you check for the part and price at some other places? I bought the EVAP Unit at O'Rileys for half of the cost of the local dealer. Just a thought.
