Started smelling it a week or so ago, after driving and getting up to temp. Brief hints of hot coolant (we all know what that smells like). Checking under hood and underneath results inconclusive. No obvious signs of leaks or previous leaking. Coolant bottle is lower than when we got it, but still visible. (8000 miles ago). No drivability issues, no overheating, no smoke out of the exhaust, just those whisps of coolant vapor every now and then. Assuming water pump, but we have an appt with the dealer next week to get it checked out. In the mean time, I'll keep an eye on the coolant level and add as needed.

A coolant pressure test is needed to see if the coolant system can maintain pressure. When the 3 cyl water pumps leak they seep coolant out but a lot of times no drips are seen under the car.

Got an appt for next Tuesday. We'll get a loaner so they can keep it as long as they need to.

Mine was just noticed leaking at the pump Friday. I’ve got about 39,600ish on the clock. The reservoir isn’t that low.. yet. Fortunately I have an appt to get it serviced on Tues.

Hey there! Can you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to look into your coolant concerns on my end.

jkeaton, I was taken aback from the lack of loaner/rental from the dealership I bought it from… But, I will give them props for not messing around with ordering the pump. Was there for about an hour, then service mgr came out to brief me. Looking tentatively to be towards end of Oct. to get a pump in.
