Detail in Leather Steering Wheel, is it something common?

The upholstery in my steering wheel is uneven, there is a sort of wrinkle in one side compare to the other. Please see the picture. How is it with yours ? Is it smooth both sides ?

I don’t have a leather wheel, but Ive had cars that do and that looks very subtle and normal at seams. From what I can tell.

I get that a new vehicle should meet quality standards...it's a leather wrap. I honestly can't even see the wrinkle...I'd say if it bothers you enough, take it back to the dealer and try to get a refund. I'm sorry, this seems incredibly petty. Maybe my standards are just too low...maybe l accept minor defects more than I should. I hope you find resolution.

Yeah its a little wrinkled over on one side. Take back to dealer and complain.

Hey, that's only the base price. Lots of options to drive up the price. I like it for maybe $400.

It's hand done and after a while, it will all settle in and smooth over a bit. I had a couple spots where the fabric was really bumped up from the stitching gathering it. It was right on the ergonomic grabby part of the wheel too so I constantly felt it. I was able to take a popsicle stick and carefully push the raised edge back down and into the other part to smooth it out.

Mine also has the threading bump, but it is not as pronounced as yours.
