Commute times and distances - Best/Worst

My last few years in Massachusetts I was easily commuting 3hrs a day. That was 1 waking day a week commuting. A typical year meant around 45 days a year commuting.

After moving to Phoenix my commute reduced to about 70 minutes total, so ~1/3 the time plus I didn’t have to work as long so my quality of life improved.

14 mile commute to/from work each way. When I first moved to the area, the commute was about 20 minutes. 30 years later and 4 traffic lights, the commute, during normal rush hours was about 45 minutes. If an accident occurred, travel time to be 1-1.5 hour or more.
It was hell on the clutch on a manual transmission.
