This quickly reminded me when we took our son and daughter in law out for dinner in the BS. His wife said there was not much leg room in the back. I responded with "I did not hear you offer to drive".

That ended the complaint.

But yes, you are correct, minimal leg room. Since it is just the wife and I, this was not a deterrent for purchasing one.
That is the funniest thing I’ve heard all day.

I did notice after giving a buddy and his gf a ride the other day, when someone in the rear unbuckles and the car is still running or in park, a notification and diagram pops up on the dash. Nice way to police your passengers.

While I appreciate things like MOLLE straps on the backs of seats, I wish Ford would have instead focused on bigger things like heated rear seats, power liftgate, and myriad other features that are common across the segment but conspicuous by their absence in the BS. Clever details only win after you take care of the big things.

It's still the best in the segment, but I think the 2025 or 2026 BS will be the rig we all want today.

Never had a power lift gate so I don’t miss it. I can give or take the heated seats but handy if you have back pain.
I can fit 4 dogs in the back.

Oh I don't know about "clever". In this case I'd say gimmick. I can't remember the last time I needed a bottle cap opener in the US.
Well maybe if you drank some decent beer, and not Busch light in the can, you might appreciate it more, Just Sayin?

I agree they have some nice features. What burns me up is the little things like a glove box light, lit cup holders or engine cover that they took out. My wife's $22,000 Ecosport has all of these, and my $40,000 + Obx didn't have any of them.
I am with you. All the little things they removed on a $44000 vehicle. I wonder how much if any had to do with build location and that this is entirely from what I can see came from Central America. As much as I like the truck it just seems like FORD nickle and dimed us too much to death.

If I want legroom for rear seat passengers, I'll grab my dad's F150 Supercrew.
The real question is If I want passengers in the back seat.

Most places that people backpack and adventure into (i.e., the places the BS is advertised to take you) have no-glass policies in place (and for good reason). It's precisely because of this that so many microbeers (craft beers and premium beverages) are actually are packaged in cans. Cans aren't just for the big, multi-national brands; cans are for premium beers designed to be taken offroad where glass should never be. And that's what makes this feature all the more puzzling to me.

The only place that bottle opener would be handy is in a parking lot tailgating ... and there are usually about 2 dozen bottle openers strewn about in such events.

I think that in 1995, it was true that crummy beers would be in cans and better beers would be in a bottle. It's not 1995 any more. Go to a liquor store in Colorado and you'll find it much easier to find Miller Lite in a bottle than you will most craft beers. Dale's Pale Ale and all the rest are served in cans to better support the outdoor enthusiasts.

Passengers was not a consideration. Our kids are adults and we rarely have anyone with us. So we didn't care about that knowing it was an issue.

I've always wondered what all this legroom is wanted for, especially in the back? Costumes? Fancy gown? Riding around with legs crossed? It is confining/claustrophobic -- you can't move around or do anything but sit -- but there's just enough room for that. No lounging though.
And no coochy coochy

I seem to have the latest version, as I installed it for the first time just two days ago.

Glass is heavier for shipping, was scarce during Covid and could still be in some instances AND cans seal better than bottles.
Pick up a case of empty cans for return and a case of empty bottles for return. Imagine the cost difference for shipping prior to getting filled. Huge money.
