Today, the light appear again with the same error message.

I notices When the light is ON, the car works 50% of the engine power.

I will go next Monday again to the dealer

If you have an AutoZone, advanced auto, O'Reilly's, or other auto parts store, most of them here anyways have engine scanners they read codes for free. Anywhere who sells oil, filters etc probably has one.

My daughter lives two hours away and needed a check. USUSALLY it's emissions type stuff when the check engine light codes. If nothing else they can give you an idea. It's likely not anything serious, which is probably why they told you a week. Worth getting looks for peace of mind. Find a parts store or call and ask if they have a code reader
I have a 2013 Escape, the check engine light goes on for the 0xigen sensor, if available try a few tanks of ethanol free or high octane fuel.

Most auto parts stores can pull the error code with a code reader.

Sometimes it takes a cost for them to take action.
In 2000 I ordered a optioned out Ford Ranger that had a weak battery. 3 times it failed to start and I jumped it. Took it in twice and they did the usual battery cranking test and said it was within specs. The 4th time it failed to start I called Ford raodside number for them to come pick it up and away it went on a roll back. 2 hours later it was delivered back to my home with a new battery. Guess they decided a battery was cheaper than an ongoing towing bill, lol.
Great truck for the next 5 years, still kind of miss it.

The car entered into the dealer a few days ago, still trying to find the issue. They gave me another car meanwhile they find the issue.

Keep you guys posted.

Glad you got this fixed. I haven't read this entire thread but wanted to mention the "engine light is on. Why?" issue (for 99% of the time -- but not yours)

Years ago the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) set into place a law to control leakage of "climate harming" gas and liquids from vehicles. An open fuel door is one example since some gas fumes could escape..

On ANY car if you leave the fuel door open for an unknown amount of time (hours?) the "Check Engine Light" will appear. Once you close the fuel door the light will remain on for an unknown amount of time (see your owners manual -- but 3 days sounds typical).

Yes there are other reasons the Engine Icon light on the dashboard can appear. Again, see your owners manual.

I think the law I am mentioning is in here somewhere. A congressional aid might be able to find it.

Since yesterday the light never goes off. I called the service and in ARGENTINA they stuck , basically they asked me to wait a week to bring the car. Do you guys know what could be ?
It could be caused by various reasons, from minor to more serious problems.
It's best to get it checked by a qualified mechanic to diagnose and resolve the issue promptly.
