SSM 49930 - 2020-2021 Escape, 2021 Bronco Sport - 1.5L EcoBoost - Vibration And/Or Boom Noise While Driving Some 2020-2021 Escape and 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with the 1.5L engine may exhibit a lugging vibration and/or boom noise while driving in gears 5-8at approximately 1500 engine revolutions per minute (RPM). This may be felt more when the engine is under a light to moderate load. A vibration and/or boom noise could be generated from the firing frequency of the 3 cylinders or when cylinder deactivation occurs and the engine is running on 2 cylinders. Compare to a like vehicle before attempting to diagnose as this condition may be characteristic. Setting the vehicle's drive mode to SPORT may eliminate the condition by changing the shift points of the transmission. Refer to the Owner's Manual for information on drive mode control and how to select them.
Hello everyone, so my 2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend is now at the dealer again for transmission and these studders and vibrations and noises and so on.
At this point I'm now being told its normal operations and this is for the fuel economy and blah blah blah, maybe try sport mode.
Am I wrong by feeling this is a brand new vehicle that I don't want to vibrate, boom, shudder or whatever other word we can come up to describe with some of the ways this vehicle acts. I really feel like Ford let me down when this statement was released basically stating that this is how this vehicle performs and this is what you get. I got the tech package on my Bronco, but I didn't order the may run like **** package. I've just hit 10k miles on this Bronco Sport and I can't begin to explain how much I'm disappointed in this vehicle and also in Ford and myself for just being a Ford fanboy and not doubting the performance of their vehicles.
Sorry that I came on here to vent, but I come from a Ford family and this vehicle and Ford's responses to these issues are a punch in the gut. Not sure where I'm going from here but I now have a Bronco Sport that shifts like garbage and a dealer telling me that Ford says this is normal operations. Just damn Ford, you were my superhero.
